Images were obtained from the eyes of anaesthetised mice using the Micron IV retinal imaging microscope. Spectral domain optical coherence tomography (OCT) images were obtained as 512 serial B-scans of a volume of tissue centred on the optic nerve head. Prior to imaging the Micron IV was fully calibrated according to the manufacturer’s protocol. Images (512x1024 pixels) with a bit depth of 16 were acquired using PackBits lossless compression.
